In this, the first attempt by Daciano da Costa to design urban equipment, the inclusion in a huge multidisciplinary team, assembled under the coordination of town planners, forced a wide-ranging reflection on the issue. This participation will have underscored the idea of the designer’s commitment to the design of the city, promoting an attitude of “integrated design” all too often absent when the industry emerges as the only interlocutor.
