Expo’98/Parque das Nações, Lisbon.
Proposal for the public tender for the design, supply and assembly of urban furniture.
The previous experience of designing equipment for public areas, especially the Urbis programme and the proposal for the Parque Expo’98 pp3 plan, was developed and included here. Once again, “subjective modes and systematic Design methodologies” were combined to propose “‘more design’ in the active objects for circumscribed spaces” and
“‘less design’ in the companion objects for reference points in open spaces”.
The Sueste Collection, the result of the objects designed for Expo´98 (Lisbon), remains today among the outdoor furniture lines, presented by the Atelier Daciano da Costa, produced and marketed by Larus.
