Interior architecture, furniture and graphics for Casino Park Hotel in Funchal – 1972

In the furniture and in the integrated equipment of the rooms and the public areas, the laminar compositions and the dihedral systems recur, with an almost absolute prevalence of asymmetry. Identical principles dominate the graphic communication system, where functional typography and colour are combined in absolute artistic sense.

The paradigms of Brazilian architecture of the Modern Movement and the memory of the avant-garde of the beginning of the century – neoplasticists and suprematists, Bauhaus and Le Corbusier – have a very evident presence in the Casino Park Hotel complex.
