The Museu do Artesanato e do Design (MADE) opened in 2011, as a result of a partnership between the Regional Tourism Office, the Municipality of Évora and the collector Paulo Parra. It is installed in the former royal granary, a remarkable baroque building. MADE houses the collection of the old Museu do Artesanato/Centro de Artes Tradicionais, promoting the memory of the traditional crafts of the Alentejo and mixing craft production with design artworks, thus exploring new social and anthropological connotations.
