Daciano da Costa was a professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon (and before, of the Department of Architecture of the School of Fine Arts of Lisbon) for twenty-five years. He completed his academic career as Invited Full Professor, being awarded the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa by UTL.

The publication that we now present, organizes its contents through a set of reflections and testimonies of these diverse personalities that, from the perspective that was provided to them by the relationship they established with him in life, reveal different facets of thought and practice of Daciano da Costa.

In addition, we took the opportunity to register and disseminate a set of scattered texts and documents, many of them unpublished, which Daciano has been producing throughout his life and which will never have been printed.
