Adico and Atelier Daciano da Costa Reissue Iconic Pieces of Portuguese Design, Reissue of the Peninsular Chair to Be Presented at Maison et Objet in Paris, 16 January 2025
Adico, the oldest and one of the most prestigious metal furniture manufacturers in Portugal, has partnered with Atelier Daciano da Costa for a collaboration aimed at revitalizing and celebrating the legacy of the man regarded as the pioneer of national design.
The Adico x Daciano da Costa partnership focuses on reissuing some of the most iconic pieces by Daciano da Costa, the "father of Portuguese design." This endeavor maintains respect for the history and character of the original pieces while adapting them to contemporary contexts.
The first initiative of this collaboration is the reissue of the iconic Peninsular Chair, a hallmark of Daciano da Costa's modernist design. The piece will be unveiled to the public at the upcoming edition of Maison et Objet, to be held in Paris from January 16 to 20. This launch symbolizes the commitment of both entities to preserving and promoting the designer’s cultural and artistic heritage, positioning it on the most prominent international stages.
